3 steps to take care of your liver and your emotions

With a healthy and deflated liver you will be able to keep your body, inside and out, in top shape, and you will also notice its beneficial effects on your mood, strength and general well-being.

The liver is the organ that is responsible for filtering, draining and purifying our body. We do not usually remember it unless it bothers us in some way. We have to take care of it and keep it healthy so that it works perfectly.

1. Healthy habits
  • Consume vegetables, fruits, and water daily to hydrate and detoxify your body.
  • Reduce salt, coffee, tobacco and alcohol. You will avoid fluid retention.
  • Sleep a minimum of 7 hours in an oxygenated and calm environment. Your body needs to recharge its batteries and regenerate.
  • Reduce as much as possible: fried foods, sausages, trans fats, processed foods, refined sugar and flour.
  • Exercise daily. If you don't like sports, you can walk 30 minutes a day.
  • You can avoid allergies, acne, infections and abdominal bloating if you avoid taking cow's milk protein.

2. Foods that take care of your liver
  • Green leafy vegetables: lettuce, arugula, lamb's lettuce, chard, spinach. Garlic and onion for their richness in sulfur. Very necessary to cleanse the liver.
  • Celery and parsley: flavonoid antioxidants and regulators of the immune system, in addition to reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, they have anti-cancer properties. Try them in green juices, smoothies and as a snack spread on guacamole/hummus. It's delicious.

3. Detox foods par excellence
  • Milk thistle. Liver regenerating plant. It contains a substance that protects and regenerates liver cells against all types of toxins. How to take it: raw leaves in salad and in infusion. Boiled or steamed, baked and marinated with virgin olive oil, lemon, pepper and the spice you like.
  • Artichoke: liver plant par excellence. Stimulates the production of bile, the digestion of fats. How to eat it: baked whole and filled with ACVE dressing, pepper and apple or lemon vinegar. Steamed, grilled, in salad. In infusion.
  • Dandelion: medicinal plant with highly purifying effect. How to take it: its raw leaves in salads or cooked/baked and seasoned to your liking. In infusion.
  • Chlorella: It is an algae with an immense source of chlorophyll, in addition to its minerals and vitamin B. It is a powerful detoxifier and protector of the intestine, liver and blood. How to take it: Add 2-3 gr. From chlorella to fruit juices, salad dressings, sauces, smoothies, it will enhance your recipes thanks to its color, flavor, as well as its nutritional contribution. If you want to cleanse yourself, you can drink 2 glasses of water on an empty stomach and after meals (with 5 gr.)
  • Lime and lemon: It is one of the liver-protective fruits. Avoid cholesterol. How to take it: diluted in water or grated in salads and desserts.
