3 Exercises to relieve lower back pain

75% of the population suffers from low back pain. Practicing special yoga postures for this type of pain is beneficial. In this article we show 3 exercises to relieve lower back pain.


Yoga postures that will help you relieve lower back pain:

  • Reclining Chair 

  1. Lie on the floor and relax.
  2. Raise your legs and rest them on an object that allows you to lift them.
  3. Extend your hands in a T shape.
  4. Hold the posture for 3 to 5 minutes, breathing deeply.

Reclining Chair

  • Reclining Butterfly

  1. Bring the soles of your feet together with your knees out to the sides. Form a diamond with your legs.
  2. Lie down on the ground.
  3. Place your hands outstretched to the sides.
  4. Breathe deeply, holding the posture for 3 to 5 minutes.

If you have a more advanced level we recommend this posture:

  • Reclining Twist

  1. Lie down with your back on the floor and your arms in a T shape.
  2. Twist your hips to the right and bring your knees to the left.
  3. If necessary, rest your knees on reinforcement or blocks.
  4. Hold the posture for 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Do this same exercise with your knees facing to the right.
